Ad impression - whenever an individual ad is displayed
on your website. Different ad formats have different ad impression
values, for instance, a vertical banner will account for two ad
impressions in your report.
Ad unit impression - every time a user views
an ad unit on a page. For example, a page displaying three ad units
that is viewed twice, you will generate six ad unit impressions
and two page impressions.
Clickthrough rate (CTR) - the number of clicks
an ad receives a click divided by the number of times the ad, ad
unit, or page is displayed ][depending on the type of impressions
]
Cost-per-action [CPA]- the amount an advertiser
pays when a user completes a certain action: registers, subscribes,
requests information, downloads a .pdf etc
Cost-per-click [CPC] - the amount an advertiser
pays each time a user clicks on an ad. This is the pricing system
used by Google AdWords.
Effective CPM - the effective cost-per-thousand
impressions (eCPM) used by publishers to compare revenue across
different channels and advertising programs.

Actual cost-per-thousand-impressions [CPM] -
the amount an advertiser pays for each impression of an ad. The
AdWords Discounter automatically gives advertisers the lowest possible
price to maintain the ad's position.
Maximum cost-per-thousand-impressions - the maximum
cost-per-thousand-impressions (CPM) an advertiser is willing to
pay. The AdWords Discounter automatically reduces this amount to
one cent more than the minimum necessary to maintain the ad's desired
position on the page.
Invalid click or impression - Clicks or page
impressions generated through prohibited means, intended to artificially
increase click or impression counts on a publisher account. Google
has technology to monitor this closely.
