The native structure of wordpress is not that search engine friendly.
This video tutorial tells you how to help Google Bot to read your
Blog better.
Includes tips on how to avoid duplicate content and set up theming
or siloing on your wordpress blog installation.
Three Key Points
Manage Your Categories - Assign your blog post
to only ONE category.
Manage Your Home Page Content - Use the 'More'
split text function when writing your post to split your blog
copy. This determines how much of the text will be displayed on
the blog home page, and then link to the complete text on the
blog post page. This avoids duplicate content of the whole page.
Manage Your GoogleBot Access - in multiple
authors, page archives and data archives. If multiple authors
are writing for your site, use your robots txt file to block any
duplicate content so that the content does not appear under both
the Author List and the Category list. Likewise, use your robots
txt file to prevent the bots from accessing your Page Archive
and Date Archive.
