Getting traffic to your site is time consuming and expensive. Once you get them there, don’t lose them for any of the above reasons. Avoiding bad content, poor navigation and crappy site design are easy.

Navigation - make navigation simple and if you have several pages that are connected in content – put extra links at the bottom of the page to create a “record set” of information.

Site content – is there to inform a visitor and to explain to a visitor how your product will fulfill their wants and desires. People primarily buy based on what they want, not what they need. Know what your customer wants

Write copy focused on fulfilling these wants or providing a solution to their problems
Focus on benefits – not features. The fact that your widget has a “what-ever” is of absolutely no consequence to your customer – tell them what that feature means to them; what difference it will make to their life.

Site Design – the design of your site speaks volumes about the quality of your product. You don’t need to spend a lot on a website. We have kept the Electrosmart site very clean and simple as an example of what can be done, very simply. Later, you can add professional graphics, but when starting out, keep to standard colors and a very clean layout.
